I know that there is a time for everything, but more often than not, people wait for the right moment until it has already passed them by. Life goes on, and if you keep on seeking for the right moment when everything will fall into place, you might find yourself stuck. No one wants to live a life full or regrets; I know you don’t.
Still, more often than not, people put off things that they should have done already because they are waiting for the right time. How are they going to recognize that perfect moment? Are there pointers or clues developed for it? Will the right moment wait for them?
It is sad that many people lose out on a chance for love because they waited for the right moment to express their feelings to their date. Some lost their chances of investing in profitable businesses or assets because they were waiting for the right moment. Many others are continuously putting off their nutritional adjustments because the right moment hasn’t come. What about those waiting for the right moment to start a new career or leave a job that is making them mad every day?
Are you busy starting sentences with the following statements?
• When I land a new job
• When things are better
• When I get married
• When my kids are old enough
• When I have more money
• When I am more prepared
• When I am more skilled
If so, this means that you already have so many “when’s” that will lead you directly to “Never-Ville.” This is the right time to create moments for what you need to do. Don’t wait for the right moment to come to you because it will never come. Start taking actions today. Immediately when an idea comes into your head, act on it and don’t put it off because the more you think about it, the more reasons you will come up with to justify putting it off.
Moreover, there are certain things you can do to stop waiting and start using every moment effectively.
• Start somewhere
All you need to do is to start somewhere. Make every moment count. Our lives are filled with moments, and unless you make a conscious effort to utilize all these moments, you will never realize how many you have missed.
• Be ready for resistance
Yes! There will be resistance every moment you want to do something. Don’t wait to plan on how to attack all the resistance. Be ready for it. If it arises, attack it with what you’ve got and overcome it.
• Don’t live in the future
Live one day at a time. This will help you to view every moment as precious and to try to these moments. If you keep planning for the future, you will always think that as you go along, the right moment will come for you to start. People are often advised to live every day as if it’s their last. This is a strategy to avoid sin because if they die tomorrow, that means today is a great opportunity to live right so they can make heaven instead of hell. Even if you are not a Christian, you can adopt this strategy so that you don’t lose the moments you have today in anticipation of moments in the future.
• Remember, there is no perfect moment
Always remember that there is no right moment. All your moments are right to start something, express feelings, invest and take any necessary action that will enhance your life.
Don’t allow procrastination to steal your joy. Start from somewhere today and do all those things you have been putting off. You have all the moments you need. Start utilizing them.
